Vol. 3 Issue 37

Field Trip
The Atlanta History Center
The purpose of the trip is to give our students the opportunity to see what everyday life was like for our ancestors, and to compare and contrast to their own lives. This trip served as an introduction to our next IB unit, American Heroes. As we learn about our history and heroes of the past, students will make connections to their experiences during this trip.

Fundraising for Margaret

Margaret Gillogly, our PC Media Specialist, is also our class adopted specialist. Please consider giving what you can. You can view this link for frequent updates. Margaret has made such an impact on so many of our children's lives and so many families have asked how they can help her. A fundraising website has been started to help support her in her huge battle fighting cancer and to assist with her extensive medical expenses. If you feel led to contribute in this way, click here

Field Trip
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
Students were captivated by a lively musical experience and discovered the wonders of the orchestra! The Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, and String families each shared their unique sounds. Students heard selections from some of the best-loved orchestral music which has become a familiar part of everyday life.
