Welcome to 1st Grade!!!!

First grade is an exciting time as children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning. I am looking forward to a very exciting and productive year working with your child. I will strive each day to make learning a fun and enriching process for your child. I believe we are a team, working together, to help your child thrive academically. Our collaboration is a key component of a successful year!

Mark Your Calendars!

1st Grade Orientation:

On behalf of the first grade team, I would like to extend an invitation to our annual SRS First Grade Orientation, to be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 @ 6:00pm. The program will begin in the auditorium with a welcome from administration and grade level chair and conclude with an information session in our classroom.

Class Snacks:

Our students willbring snacks for the entire class, once every 23 days (estimate), using the group snacks model. Once I find out about any/all food allergies, I will post an August snack calendar. Remaining rotations will be posted on our monthly calendars submitted by our room parents. Thanks to those who volunteered for next week. If you did volunteer, remember to bring 23 healthy snacks in the bags provided the night before. If I find that students have allergies other than gluten or gelatin (allergies I already listed as possibilities), I will provide a substitute.
