Parent Volunteers: We Need You!!
Parent
volunteers offer a huge resource and support base for the school
community while showing their kids the importance of participating in
the larger community.
Not only will the school (and classroom) reap the benefits of your
involvement — you will, too. By interacting with me, administrators, and
other parents on a regular basis, you'll gain a firsthand understanding
of your child's daily activities. You'll also tap into trends and fads
of school life that can help you communicate with your kids as they grow
and change. Even if you haven't been involved in the past, it's never
too late to start.
If you are willing and able, please click on the following links to get involved. We still have many slots available for 2013:
- Read-A-Thon Representative: We won't be able to participate in this year's Read-a-Thon without parent volunteers. If you are available to help, please let Susan Taylor or Mandy LeCompte know ASAP. This is a necessity! We need 1-2 volunteers. Read-A-Thon reps are responsible for keeping track of our minutes, setting goals, and organizing daily reading volunteers. This begins in two weeks and there is much to be done.
- Small Groups: We need 2 parents every Thursday from 10:45am-11:45am for small groups. You will assist with class work during this time. Please find a replacement if you are unable to make it and notify Mr. Champion of the change. Sign-up to volunteer on Sign Up Genius. Click here to volunteer.
- Parent Helper: On Tuesdays from 10am-10:45am – please sign up to be Mr. Champion’s helper doing administrative work for him while he teaches our children – collate papers, put information in folders, etc. Sign up on Sign Up Genius. Click here to volunteer.
