Vol. 2 Issue 10

Student Progress Reports: Friday
Students will receive a progress report at the midpoint of each quarter. The purpose of this reporting is to describe students’ progress in meeting the learning expectations for each marking period. The progress report is intended to inform parents about their child’s learning successes and areas of improvement. This is not a report card. Look for the first of these reports in your child's red folder on Friday, 9/7. Attached to this report will be the Mid-Quarter Writing Prompt. This is a writing students are expected to complete without teacher assistance (students usually have opportunities to conference with me and revise) and it assesses mastery of writing skills students have practiced for the first 5 weeks.
